Top 10 Fastest Cars In The World 2018 Find Out Which is the Fastest Car in the World and What is the Top Speed! View this Rank of the World’s Fastest!

1.Hennessey Venom F5 (301 mph, claimed)

F5 is number one in Top 10 fastest cars in the world 2018 .

he car’s F5 name is a reference to the F5 tornado, the fastest in the Fujita scale, reaching as high as 300 mph (483 km/h).

The Venom F5 contains a bespoke proprietary 7.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8, their first in-house engine. It produces 1,600 hp (1,193 kW; 1,622 PS) and 1,300 lb·ft (1,763 N·m). Pennzoil and Shell are partners with Hennessey for the project to help reach the 300 mph (483 km/h) top speed mark.[7] The top speed is claimed to be 301 mph (484 km/h) through a V-MAX speed-tracking system. Hennessey predicts the car can perform 0–186 mph (0–300 km/h) in a time of under 10 seconds and a 0–249 mph (0–400 km/h) time of under 20 seconds.

2.Koenigsegg Agera RS (278 mph)

The Koenigsegg Agera RS is officially the fastest car in the world, and yet it sits in the second position on our list. Why?

In terms of spec sheets, Hennessey’s Venom F5 is more impressive. Its claimed top speed of 301 mph obliterates everything else on this list by a significant margin, but Hennessey hasn’t verified its numbers with the Guinness Book of World Records. Koenigsegg has, so even though it gets the silver medal here, in the real world, the Agera RS is the true speed king.

To set the official record, Koenigsegg asked the Nevada Department of Transportation to close an 11-mile stretch of Route 160 between Las Vegas and Pahrump. On public roads, the 1,160-hp Swedish supercar hit 284.55 mph during

3.Hennessey Venom GT (270 mph)

On February 14, 2014, on the Kennedy Space Center’s 3.22-mile (5.2 km) shuttle landing strip in Florida, the Hennessey team recorded a top speed of 270.49 mph (435.31 km/h) with Director of Miller Motorsport Park, Brian Smith, driving. As the run was in a single direction, and only 16 cars have been sold to date (to qualify Hennessey must build 30), it does not qualify as the world’s fastest production car in the Guinness Book of Records. But that speed of 270.49 mph (435.31 km/h) was, until November 2017, the unofficial fastest one-way record by a production car.

4.Bugatti Chiron (261+ mph)

The Bugatti Chiron is developed by Volkswagen as the successor to the Bugatti Veyron. Featuring an 8-liter W16 quad-turbocharged engine that pulls 1,479 hp, the Chiron can make the leap to 62 MPH in 2.5 seconds and has an electronically-limited top speed of 261 MPH, which means yes, it could probably do a heck of a lot more than that if left to its own devices.

One caveat — or perhaps a second when you consider that it’s a $2.66 million car and thus affordable — is that it’s a real gas guzzler. In fact, at full speed, the 100-liter fuel tank would be empty in about eight minutes. Only 500 will be produced, and they will be available to the very, very rich later this year.

The Chiron’s top speed is electronically limited to 420 km/h (261 mph) for safety reasons. The anticipated full top speed of the Bugatti Chiron is believed to be around 463 km/h (288 mph).

5.Bugatti Veyron Super Sport (268 mph)

When Volkswagen purchased the Bugatti brand, it had one goal: build the fastest production car in the world.Yet the Veyron was soon dethroned by the SSC Ultimate Aero, so Bugatti came back with the Veyron Super Sport.

There were only five World Record Edition cars produced of the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport. Unlike the regular edition, this one is not electronically limited to 258 miles per hour. At the time of its release in 2010, it held the top land speed record for a production car at 268 MPH. That has since been topped a time or two. The engine boasts 1,200 hp and 1,100 lb-ft of torque output.

6.SSC Ultimate Aero (256 mph)

Shelby Super Cars (SSC) has nothing to do with Carroll Shelby of Cobra fame, but for a moment its Ultimate Aero was the fastest production car in the world. It hit 256 mph in 2007, beating the non-Super Sport version of the Veyron.

The SSC Ultimate Aero TT 2009 version is the fastest edition of this car and features an astounding 1,287 hp with torque output of 1,112 lb-ft. Not only does it reach a maximum speed of between 256 and 257 MPH, but in 2009, it was also able to complete six runs of 0 to 200 MPH in under 16 seconds, according to SSC’s gear ratio testing results.

7.Saleen S7 Twin Turbo (248-250 mph)

Among performance addicts, the Saleen S7 is legend. There are several reasons for this — the exotic styling, insane performance, and incredible tuning potential to name a few — but much of the vehicle’s appeal is actually historical. Produced from 2000 to 2009, the S7 was America’s first mid-engined supercar.

It wasn’t just the first in the U.S. though; it’s one of the best supercars ever made. Built on a lightweight chassis crafted from aluminum and steel, the vehicle featured a hulking 7.0-liter V8 that produced 550 hp, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds. About halfway through its lifecycle, Saleen debuted the S7 Twin Turbo, which brought the car’s performance to near comical levels.

The Twin Turbo version of the S7 featured a maximum power output of 750 hp with a torque output of 700 lb-ft. The front and rear diffusers were reworked from the original Saleen S7 to increase downforce by 60%. Top speeds were said to be in the 248-250 MPH range, but at that rate, what difference does two or three miles per hour make, really?

8.Koenigsegg CCR (242 mph)

Swedish supercar builder Koenigsegg briefly held the “world’s fastest” title before being bested by the original Bugatti Veyron. Its CCR reached 242 mph at Italy’s Nardo Ring in 2005.

Swedish manufacturer Koenigsegg debuted the CCR at the March 2004 Geneva Auto Show, ravishing spectators with a powerful engine featuring twin Rotrex superchargers that helped boost the car to 806 hp and 680 lb-ft torque output.

While initial claims placed it at a top speed of 245 MPH, it never quite got there, but it came awfully close. It would not be until the CCX came along the following year that Koenigsegg lived up to the claim.

9.McLaren F1 (241 mph)

The F1 is more than just a former world’s-fastest car. With its carbon-fiber body, gold-lined engine bay, 6.1-liter BMW M V12, and center driver’s seat, it just might be the coolest car ever made.

Years before it attempted to take on Ferrari and Porsche with the MP4-12C, McLaren was known only as a successful race team in Formula 1 and the defunct Can-Am series. Yet its first road car wasn’t exactly an amateur effort.

The McLaren F1, with rev limiter enabled, is a pretty impressive car, but it’s capable of so much more if you get rid of that bad boy. It uses a V12 engine that gets 618 hp. The road version of the car boasts a torque output of 480 lb-ft.

How Fast- 0 to 60 MPH in 3.4 seconds

Price- $4 million

10.Pagani Huayra BC (238 mph)

No sane person would ever call the Pagani Huayra tame, because with an AMG-sourced biturbo V12 pushing less than 3,000 pounds, the Italian dynamo is the definition of a beast. The formula can always been improved though, and at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, Pagani proved it by debuting the Huayra BC.

Lighter and more powerful than the standard Huayra, the BC’s engine was massaged to produce 789 hp, while total curb weight was slashed down to a paltry 2,645 lbs. That’s effectively the same weight as the latest Honda Civic Coupe with five times the power. It should come as no surprise, then, that the BC’s top speed is rated at a ridiculous 238 mph.
